Our family went camping over Memorial Day weekend to Dorena Lake, Oregon. We had a wonderful time, even though the weather was questionable at best. Of course, it didn't matter that it was cold and gray, the kids just HAD to go swimming before we left. Only afterwards did I see the no-swim sign :-).
Two things we learned on our first camping trip as a family (we're kind of a new family, still trying new experiences together):
1) We need a typed up, well thought out packing list.
2) I need to make sure my blow up mattress does not leak.
I decided to play with my camera in full manual mode and I have to say I love what custom white balance and manual controls do. I hardly touched most of my pictures!
Love the pictures. I especially love the ones of Micheal, Chloe, and Brayden shivering and then the one of Dry Chloe jumping in the water with Brayden and Micheal. (Great action shot.)
